How Our Network Works for Homeowners
Talk to a local provider
Who You Talk To
When you reach out through Effecttop Pest Control, you are connected to an independent provider in our network. This is a local pest control or wildlife business that runs on its own. Effecttop Pest Control does not do the work, so the person who answers speaks for that provider.
There are no staff profiles here on purpose. The provider is the one who will inspect your home, give a quote and do the job, so they are the one worth asking questions.
What Happens on the Call
Expect a few simple questions.
- What pest or animal do you think you have?
- Where did you see it, and when?
- How old is the home, and has it had repairs?
- Are children or pets in the house?
Be honest and specific. Photos help if the provider asks for them. The provider may book a visit or give a rough idea of next steps. Request a callback to check provider availability.
What to Ask a Provider
Good questions protect you from mistakes. Try these.
- Is the quote in writing, and what does it include?
- Which products will be used, and are they safe near pets and kids?
- How will you find and seal the entry points?
- What should I do, and not do, after treatment?
- Is there a follow-up visit to check results?
- Are you licensed and insured in my state? Ask to see proof.
Do and Do Not Before the Visit
- Do keep children and pets away from the problem area.
- Do write down what you have seen.
- Do not spread poison in attics or walls. A dead animal in a wall can create a bigger problem.
- Do not mix cleaning chemicals or sprays.
You Are in Control
Asking for a referral does not obligate you to hire anyone. You can compare quotes, ask for time, or say no. Pressure is a red flag. A careful provider explains the plan and answers questions without rushing you.
